The Day I Lost My Way

I was at home working on the computer when my Mom decided to go to Marley Park and asked me would I like to accompany her. I asked could I bring a friend. My mom said yes so I rang my friend and got ready. He came at about one o’clock and we left. The drive only took about ten minutes.
When we got there, it was crowded so we decided to go in the forest. We walked for a while and came to a mini playground. It had swings, seesaws and climbing ropes. My friend and I had a great time. When we were tired playing, we left and had a picnic. I had a ham roll and chocolate bar.
On the way back we saw a bridge with two paths - one going over the bridge and the other going round it. I asked my mom could we go round it. She said yes so my friend and I went down the path.
We came to a turn. We decided to keep going straight. Then we came to another turn but this time we turned and before we knew it we were lost. We kept walking but after a minute we saw a group of teenagers. They were lighting bangers. We climbed a tree to hide but it didn’t work for long. The teenagers saw us, so we jumped out of the tree and ran. My friend injured himself jumping out of the tree so I carried him and hid him behind a bush. I ran for my life and they had almost caught up with me when luckily I ran straight into my Mom. I told her everything but then I saw the teenagers run away. I pointed at them as they ran away. My mom called the police to help look for my friend. We were looking for my friend for hours on end. I was about to give up when I saw the teenagers. They were hiding in what seemed to be a sort of tunnel.
I quietly entered and hid behind a bin. After a while I got the guts to enter the door. When I got in I almost had a heart attack. Inside was the most hi-tech place I had ever seen. There were banks of computers, radar and massive screens. The teenagers came in and I jumped under a desk to hide. I saw them using one of the computers but then I heard a rattling noise closely followed by a loud bang. The computer had blown up and gone on fire. The fire was quickly spreading and the teenagers were already far away. I was absolutely terrified but I still managed to crawl from under the table. I only took about two steps when it seemed like the floor had collapsed but I had actually fallen in a trap door. Inside it was pitch black but luckily I had felt a ladder in front of me. I climbed it but without noticing I had flicked a switch with my head. All the lights had turned on. It was what seemed to be endless caves. I walked down them for a while but then I came to massive drop. It was too far to try and leap across so I turned back and walked off. I accidently walked into a massive drop.
I woke up in an old smelly bed. I asked a middle-aged man in rags “what happened?” He said that I had fallen in a hole and I was out cold. The pit was wrecked and dusty. Luckily I found a door that led outside. I was so relieved to be free but that wouldn’t be for long. I had no idea where anybody was so I covered myself in leaves and went to sleep but I was shortly woken by the sound of a helicopter. It was the police. They brought me a nearby police station where my family where waiting for me. We went home and I had some hot chocolate and I never went into a cave again.
