1. Poison Dart Frog,

Poison Dart Frogs can be found in South America.They are a kind of luminous blue colour with black spots. It uses these colours to warn enemies. About 136 micrograms (the equivalent of three grains of table salt) of it's poison (alkaloid) can kill a 150 pound person. Holy Hoppin'!

2. Inland Taipen,

This shy, golden land snake is the most toxic snake in the world. They can be found in Southern Australia. To get shelter they hide in rat holes (probably killed the owner though!) cracks in the ground and sinkholes. Its venom acts so fast it can hold its prey until it dies. Slithery sleathin'!

3. Box Jellyfish,

Box Jellyfish are a pale blue color and are transparent. They have 15 tentacles which can grow to up to 3 metres in length. They can be found in Northern Australia. Box Jellyfish eat small fish and crustaceans. If you get stung by one, apply vinegar almost immediately.

4. Blue Ringed Octopus,

The Blue Ringed Octopus is the size of a golf ball. It's a yellow colour with blue rings. If you get stung the following will happen... You will feel ill, everything around you will become blurry, after that you are blind, you won't be able to feel anything. Then you won't be able to breathe, you suffocate, and then you die. Scary!

5. Stonefish

Stonefish live mainly near the coral reefs. It feeds on small fish and shrimps. If you get stung by any of the many spines on its back, you will experiance extreme pain. The venom kills tissues. The severity of it depends on depth penetration and the number of spines that penetrated. Symptoms are muscle weakness, paralysis, shock and if untreated, possibly death.
