Sun Shines Brightly on First Holy Communion Day
Saturday was a wonderful day. The weather was terrific, the boys were well prepared and everything went off without a hitch. Thanks to the PA for organising the reception after Mass and to the many teachers who turned up on the day to help out. Well done to the choir of GNS who performed beautifully and a special word of thanks to Fr. Gerry who, as always, put everyone at their ease.
Leinster - European Cup
We had a great surprise today when Mr. Niall Rynne, President of Leinster RFC and a past pupil of St. Pius brought the European Cup to school so that the boys could see it up close and personal - thanks Niall.
Pizza Days are Happy Days
Ms. Brennan is delighted with the boys in her class . . . so much so that today she organised a surprise treat: yes! Pizza treats in senior infants. They're also the best singers in the whole school, by the way!!
Senior Whites Bow Out
Hard luck and well done to our Senior White team who lost their quarter final game to St Patrick’s Drumcondra yesterday.
The boys gave one of the best performances the school has ever witnessed, but sadly victory slipped from their grasp. Well done to an amazing troupe of players and with so many 5th class stars ready to step in, next year looks very promising. Many thanks to the huge number of parents who supported us and of course to our coaching experts Mr Faherty and Mr Dillon.

Hurling Beneath Blue Skies
Pictured are the Pius teams at their weekly training session in the grounds of Terenure College. With top Junior league positions still up for grabs and a Senior Cup quarter final to be played in Drumcondra today, the boys had plenty to work for! Well done too to our development squad of3rd class who are definitely going to be the stars of tomorrow! Huge thanks to the large number of teachers who drive our hurling programme.
Pictured here are our tennis team (Matthew, David, Charlie, Jamie, James and Killian) after their victory on Tuesday against St. Mary's, Donnybrook together with Lucas in second class with the trophy he won at the weekend with Dad and his brother playing tag rugby.
