Pius Golfers visit the Castle Golf Club, Rathfarnham
On Monday 25th May I went to the Castle Golf Club. I had to get up at 7.30am. It was a beautiful day. As we drove into the grounds I started to get butterflies in my tummy with excitement. The grounds were superb and I wished I could play right there and then. We met Ms. O'Nuallain and Mr. Ryan and had our pictures taken. We were then introduced to our supervisor Maria and set off.
We had five 20 minute challenges, bunker shots, chipping, putting and long range shots. My favourite was the long range shots. Our pro was the well known lady golfer Marion Redmond.
Everyone I met was very friendly and welcoming. I had a brilliant time and would love to do it all over again.

Pius Golfers visit K Club May 2009
18 is an important number in golf. There are 18 holes on a golf course and last Friday, 18 sixth class boys set out for the most famous Irish golf course - the K Club.
There they were treated to a morning of coaching on the range followed by a tour of the club house. They visited the rooms used by the Europeans and Americans during the 2006 Ryder Cup. |
